Larry Dilworth is Managing Director and founder of Rowan & Ruggles, LLC, an executive search and organizational consultancy based in the Washington, DC metro area. His background includes consulting, human resources management, international and leadership roles with some of the world’s finest organizations.
Larry is also a charter member of the Great Enterprises Consortium, a group of independent consultants whose mission is to build better workplaces, where people commit their talents to the fullest in making their organization and customers successful.
Prior to the formation of Rowan & Ruggles, Larry co-headed the Washington, DC area offices for StratfordGroup, a leading national retained executive search firm.
Larry was previously a senior consulting executive with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), managing an extensive portfolio of organization change client engagements, and playing a major role in building the Change Management & Human Capital practices.
Earlier in his career, Larry worked for the Xerox Corporation in human resources and labor relations roles at the corporate level and in manufacturing operations.
Larry has worked closely with many firms on search, organizational, and human resources challenges. These include the American Petroleum Institute, Ameritech, Andersen Consulting, Baltimore Gas & Electric, Bell Atlantic, Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Deloitte & Touche, ICF Consulting, Interim Services, Telefonica Peru, MCI and others.
A former U.S. Army officer, Larry served in leadership positions on active duty in the U.S. and abroad. He earned a Master’s degree in Industrial & Labor Relations, conferred jointly by Cornell University and Baruch College, and a Bachelor's degree from Alfred University, and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute, an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management.
